I always contact a travel agency in Hawaii …. they want to get you there and have a lot of incentive to get you there cheap…..!

Or you could join the military and request Hawaii as your first duty station they will pay you to fly .. joking.

Many major airlines guarantee that you will find the cheapest flights on their own websites. I always check sites like expedia.com or orbitz.com to see which airline has the cheapest flight, and then I go to that airline’s website and pick the same flights. Probably 99% of the time I get the exact same price (or occasionaly cheaper) with the airline. Plus most of those sites charge a “booking fee” of $5 or more. So I always go to the individual airline’s website. Also check the “low fare” carriers like Southwest Airlines or JetBlue - they don’t list their fares on most of those sites. (I don’t think either of those airlines goes to Hawaii though). Besides they’re not always the cheapest… Actually JetBlue seems like it’s always more expensive than American or USAirways.

As far as booking goes - its good if you can set up your mind as per your requirement - if you are getting some fare which you think is manageable to your pocket - I will suggest you to book…but I am also not discarding the chances of getting better offers later close to your traveling date - basically it all depends on luck as well…you never know…but for air travel - its always advisable to book as early as you can….

    all the best…

ATA is the lowest about 99% of the time. Sorry! $385 is a good price for that time of year. The price you pay for paradise - but at least the hotels/condos are cheaper then so it evens out!
