How to Plan Your Vacation to Hawaii

When it is time for a little fun in the sun, vacations to Hawaii are exceptional.

Hawaii’s climate is ideal all year round with gentle warm breezes a perfect change to the colder environment back home, and during summer you will enjoy an 85 degree sun cooled by the fresh tradewinds blowing in from off the ocean. It is never too cold and not too hot.

You can visit all six islands if you would like, or simply just laze around on the one of your choosing. Each Hawaiian Island is unique with its own charm, and each is a delight to go to.

Many visitors make their first trip to Oahu in order to explore Honolulu and Waikiki beach. On the southerly shores of Oahu you will find Pearl Harbor and also the famous USS Arizona Memorial, however there is considerably more to see and enjoy in Hawaii. While you can find flights to the neighbor Islands directly arriving from the U.S. mainland, the majority of flights connect through the airport on Oahu.

Just north of Oahu, is the island of Kauai. This is the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands. You will find much natural beauty and a lot of options for unique escapades and outdoor attractions. The Coconut Coast features golden sand beaches and to the other side of the island is Waimea Canyon. This canyon is called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific.

South of Oahu is Molokai which enjoys a significant population of indigenous Hawaiian people. You will find many events which are associated with the indigenous Polynesian culture and history.

If you’re looking to have a restful vacation in Hawaii, Lanai would be the best destination for you. It has no stop lights and it’s also the least densely populated of all the Hawaii Islands. It is a good location to experience a peaceful romantic vacation, and Lanai boasts two golf courses.

Maui is the second largest Hawaiian Island and features some of the best beaches anywhere in the world. Here you’ll have the chance to view the many Humpback whales that visit Maui every winter.

The Big Island is certainly that – big. The island has more land area than all of the other islands put together. Of the thirteen climatic zones which are on earth, eleven are to be found here. On the Big Island is an active volcano, black sand beaches and snowcapped mountains.

If you are uncertain about what island you will want to spend most of your vacation, or if this might be your first Hawaiian vacation, then why not look at one of the numerous cheap Hawaii cruises? You’ll board your luxury cruise ship, upon which you will spend your nights, and after leaving Honolulu you’ll spend a day and a half at each island. What could be a better way to take in Hawaii for your first visit and then evaluate which island you like best?

Should you prefer spending some time on the islands, you can find hundreds of hotel suites to choose from. You may want to book among the historic hotels which were built before flights landed on the islands or at contemporary hotels. In case you favor Hawaii condos, then you will not have any trouble finding one within your price range.
